A1 Road Closure – Access Update

From Saturday 12th September until late October, the A1 southbound will be closed on weekends between Wansford and Alwalton, from 9pm Friday evening until 5am Monday morning.

Don’t worry – we’ll remain open as usual, with traffic diverted via clearly signed routes (see details below).

Traffic travelling southbound on the A1 through Wansford will need to:

• Exit the A1 at Wansford Interchange onto the A47
• Exit the A47 at Thorpewood Interchange onto the A1260
• Continue on the A1260 to Hampton Roundabout
• Turn right onto the A1139
• Rejoin the A1/A1(M) at Fletton Parkway Interchange
