Standard Travel

• From February to Easter, our standard running days are Saturday and Sunday
• From Easter to the end of September, our standard running days are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday
• During the 6-week school summer holidays, we run on Thursday as well
• Carers must be accompanying a full paying passenger and may be asked to show supporting documentation

If your date of travel is showing as unavailable to book, this may be because we are running a special event on that day. Our range of events can be found here.

2025 FARES

Standard Rover Fares

Thomas Branch Line Weekends
If buying Rover Tickets for Thomas Branch Line Weekends, Toddlers aged 1 to 2 years will need a £6 Thomas Ticket. For all other ages, this is included in the Rover Ticket.

Platform Tickets
If you are not wishing to travel, a Platform Ticket can be purchased on the day for Wansford or Peterborough for £3 for ages 3 and upwards. No charge for under 3s.

Pacer/Railcar Rover Fares

Only available on days when we are running our Diesel Pacer/Railcar services (not available on special event days)

Shorter Journeys

Only available to purchase on the day, either on the train or at the station

Information to note:

• Rover tickets give passengers the flexibility to hop on and off at any station and enjoy all the railway has to offer for an entire day.
• We recommend buying your Rover ticket in advance, although we do have walk-in tickets available on the day to purchase at our stations or on board our trains from our Travelling Ticket Inspectors.
• Please remember to bring your ticket/E-ticket on the day (your E-ticket does not need to be printed as it can be shown on your smartphone).
• Passengers who use a wheelchair can access the train via the Guard's Van or our Accessibility Coach.
• Shorter interstation fares are available on the day - you can purchase these at Wansford and Overton Stations or on the train from our Travelling Ticket Inspectors.
• The gift shop is open every running day.
• If you are using a Members Only or Campsite Discount Code at the time of purchase, please ensure that, on the day of travel, you bring the required evidence of the code applied. If you do not have the evidence with you when your ticket is checked, you will be asked to pay the balance of the full amount.
