On Saturday 2nd August 2025, step aboard our beautifully restored train, hauled by the mighty Class 45 ‘Royal Tank Regiment’ 45041, for a memorable early evening journey departing from Wansford at 17:30. Enjoy a freshly cooked meal from Fryz of Bretton, take in the stunning countryside views, and get hands-on with a live Travelling Post Office mail sorting demonstration—a rare chance to experience how Britain’s overnight postal network once operated.

Your Codman and TPO Experience Includes:

• A Scenic Round Trip by Heritage Diesel – Depart Wansford at 17:30 (arrive for 17:00), travel to Peterborough, continue through the picturesque Nene Valley to Yarwell, and return to Wansford
• Dinner Onboard – Enjoy a classic fish & chip supper, freshly prepared by Fryz of Bretton, served as you relax and take in the views
• On-Board Bar – A selection of drinks will be available for purchase throughout your journey
• TPO Sorting Demonstration – The Travelling Post Office (TPO) team will be onboard to demonstrate how mail was sorted on the move, letting guests get involved in sorting letters! Learn how postal workers worked tirelessly overnight to ensure next-day deliveries across the country
• Class 45 ‘Royal Tank Regiment’ 45041 in Action – Experience this powerful 1970s locomotive, a British Rail workhorse known for hauling express passenger and freight services.

Return: Train will return to Wansford after completing the round trip via Peterborough & Yarwell
